PHRASES IN THE GITA - 74


ज्ञानी विशिष्यते  ।  (अध्याय ७ - श्लोक १७)  ज्ञानी तु आत्मैव  ।  (अध्याय ७ - श्लोक १८) 
க்ஞானி விஶிஷ்யதே ... க்ஞானி து ஆத்மைவ ... (அத்யாயம் 7 - ஶ்லோகம் 17 , 18)
Gyaani Vishishyate  ...  (Chapter 7 - Shloka 17) ...  Gyaani Tu Aatmaiva ...  (Chapter 7 - Shloka 18)

Meaning :  Gyaani is Special and Unique .  Gyaani is My own Form ... थे ज्ञानी

The wise , the Gyaani is unique and special .. Nothing for himself .. His thoughts , actions and all are for The God , or His Creation .  He remains in ever-Bliss accepting anything he receives as blessing of Shri Paramaatman ..

Shri Shankara - born in a village in southern most part of Bharat , at a time when atheist Buddhist influence was at its peak .  Shri Shankara was just a nine years old boy when he resolved to devote life towards re-establishing Vedik values in Bharat .  He stage managed the drama of 'Crocodile' to get mother's permission for his decision to become a Sannyaasi .  Sannyaasa or renunciation was supposed to be in the last quarter of a Hindu's life .  He changed that and became a Sannyaasi at a young age of less than ten .  He justified this saying , "Hindu Dharma and the Vedas are danger due to powerful Buddhist influence" .  As a young Sannyaasi , he travelled around whole Bharat , debated with Buddhists preachers and reconverted masses to Vedik Religion .  He replaced thousands of Buddhist Viharas into temples , composed Hymns on various God forms .  He wrote commentaries on the Vedas , the Upanishads , the Gita , Brahma Sutra , Vishnu SahasraNama .  He established Matha in the four corners of our Nation to oversee protection of Hindu Vedik Dharma .  And all these , he achieved in a lifetime of thirty two years .  He gave up this worldly journey in Kanchipuram .  He was a revolutionary Sadhu , who brought about revolutionary change in history of Bharat ...

Chanakya , who was pained at recklessness of Magadha King , Nanda when Alexander was at the doorsteps of Bharat with his huge army ...  He opposed Nanda , trained princes and warriors under the leadership of ChandraGupta , threw out Nanda from and seated ChandraGupta on the Magadha throne .  The Greeks lead by Selukas Niketar were defeated by National Army , unified under ChandraGupta .  Chanakya was instrumental in establishing a dynasty which is known as a Golden period in National history .

Shri Guru Nanak the great Sadhu who lived with a motto "Nothing is mine ..  Everything is Yours" . Guru Tegh Bahadur who stood against the atrocious Aurangazeb and was beheaded by him for refusing to convert to Islam ...  The brave Sadhu Guru Govind Singh , who initiated Khalsa Panth and was instrumental in transforming timid and submissive Hindus into brave fighters or Sikhs ...

Samartha Shri RamaDas was an eight years old boy when he realized that our Nation was being ruled by Mughals who destroyed temples , threatened Hindus to get converted to Islam and killed those who refuse .  He resolved at that tender age to establish a Dharmik Hindu empire that would protect temples and the common Hindus ...  He was contemplative and would reply that 'he was worrying about the world' .  His marriage was fixed at an early age and minutes before marriage , he remembered his childhood resolution .  He escaped and ran into a forest , did penance and reappeared as Samartha RamaDas , who roamed around central regions of Bharat established hundreds of Hanuman temples and motivated youth to perform physical exercises .  That was the network which helped Shri Shivaji in his fights against Mughal rule and in establishment of Hindu Empire ...  The contemporary Sadhus like Shri Namadev , Sant Tukaram , Shri Gyaneshwar , Shri KabirDas and many others ...

The great Sadhu Shri Vidyaranya who inspired establishment of Vijayanagara Empire in south of Bharat , the empire which stood as fortress and protected southern Bharat from roguish Islam and Mughal empire .

The Aazhwars and Nayanmars who lived lives of devotion and who inspire common men to lead lead life of Dharma (values) and Bhakti (Devotion) ...

Ramana Maharshi , the great Sadhu who gained Knowledge at a young age of fourteen , and who spent his whole life time in a cave of Tiruvannamalai with scanty personal needs ...  Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa , the priest in a Kali temple , for whom the stone idol was Mother Kali herself and Sharada the girl married to him in a young age was also Mother Kali .

Sadhus who appeared and lived in the last century Shri Rama Teertha , Shri Dayananda , Shri Shirdi Baba , Kanchi Paramacharya , Dr Hedgewar , Shri Guruji Golwalkar , Shri RamSukhDas Swami Vivekananda and many others ...

Thousands of Sadhus who have lived in every region of this ancient land of Bharat in the last few thousands of years ...  Thousands of Sadhu like persons quietly living an inspiring life of Knowledge even today in almost every village of Bharat ...

With complete Faith on Him , with whole Love on Him , without pestering Him with own complaints , bodily pains and unwellness , own demands , living only for Him and His Creation , a Gyaani , a Saadhu is Unique and very special for us .  "He is special for Me too !" says Shri Krishna .  "He is Me" adds Shri Krishna .

We are blessed to be born in Punya Bhoomi Bharat , the land touched by the feet of these Gyaani Devotees .  Those who study lives of these Saadhus , those who listen to lives of these Gyaanis are Blessed ones .  SatSanga of a Gyaani , conversation on Wisdom and Knowledge , listening to words of Wisdom , aspiration for Knowledge ... are great Fortunes .

(இசைக்கும் மொழி கிடையாது . கவிதைக்குதான் மொழி . தமிழிசை மன்றம் என்பதெல்லாம் அபத்தம் .) தமிழகத்திற்கு வடக்கில் பாரத தேஶத்தின் அத்தனை ப்ராந்தங்களும் (கேரளம் தவிர்த்து) உள்ளன . தெலுங்கு , மராடீ , போஜ்புரி , குஜராதீ ... அனைத்து மொழிகளும் வட திஶையில் பேசப்படும் மொழிகள் .  இவை எல்லாம் வடமொழிகள் . (கன்யாகுமரி ஆளுக்கு சென்னை பாஷை கூட வடமொழிதான்) . இந்த எல்லா மொழிகளிலும் இந்த ஶப்தங்களுக்கு எழுத்துக்கள் உண்டு .   தெலுங்கில் జ  , స  , హ .. . என்றும் ,   கன்னடத்தில்   ಜ , ಸ , ಹ , ಕ್ಷ .. என்றும் , மராடீயில் . ज , स , ह , श , क्ष,.. என்றும் குஜராதியில்     જ , સ , હા , ક્ષ  , என்றும் ,   பெங்காலியில் জ  ,   স , হা  , ক্ষ ... என்றும் ஹிந்தியில் ज , स , ह , 

Chapter X (19 - 42)

\ श्री भगवानुवाच - हन्त ते कथष्यामि दिव्या ह्यात्मविभूतय : । प्राधान्यत : कुरुश्रेष्ठ नास्त्यन्तो विस्तरस्य मे ॥ १९ ॥ Shri Bhagawan said:   I shall speak to Thee now, Oh best of the Kurus! of My Divine attributes, according to their prominence;   there is no end to the particulars of My manifestation. (X - 19) Arjuna asks for a detailed and complete elaboration on His manifestations.   Shri Krishna replies He will be brief in description.   Why?   ‘My manifestations are infinite’, says Shri Krishna.   Shri Krishna is in human form.   The Infinite Paramaatman has bound Himself in a finite Form.   A finite can not fully describe an Infinite.   The same Shri Krishna in the next chapter says, “See My Infinite Forms.   See as much as you wish”, when Arjuna expresses his desire to see His one Form.   Brief in words and Elaborate in Form.;. Chapter IV (1 - 20)

\   ADHYAAY IV   GYANA KARMA SANYASA YOGAM Introduction This chapter named ‘Gnyana Karma Sanyasa Yog’ is a special one, as this is where Shri Krishna reveals the secrets of Avatara to Arjuna. We, as human have a natural weakness.  When a great thought is placed before us, instead of analysing the thought, understanding it and trying to put it into practise, almost all of us start worshipping the person who revealed the thought.  Worship of the Cross and the idols of Buddha can be quoted as examples.  One of the reasons for this may be that we deem him to be the originator of the thought.  Truths are eternal and can only be revealed and not invented.  You ask any educated person about ahimsa or non-violence.  You should not be surprised if he instantly come up with the answer, “Gandhi”.  You try to clarify that ‘almost two thousand years ago Shri Mahaveer based his life and religion solely on the principle of Ahimsa’ and ‘hundreds of years prior to that the Vedas, the Gi
