PHRASES IN THE GITA - 121

रामः शस्त्र भृतामहम्  ...  (अध्याय १० - श्लोक ३१)
ராமஹ ஶஸ்த்ர ப்ருதாமஹம்  ...  (அத்யாயம் 10 - ஶ்லோகம் 31)
Ramah ShastraBhrutaamaham  ... (Chapter 10 - Shlokam 31)

Meaning :  I am Ram , among those armed  ...

Among the armed , I am Rama ..  Yes .  Ram , not just Ram , Armed Kodanda Ram ..  Ram is ever Kodanda Ram and never just Ram ... But Ram is Peaceful .  Ram is full of Love .  Ram is compassionate ...  Yes .  Undoubtedly He is .. and hence weapons suit Him the most ..  Education in the hands of the Humble ...  Money in the hands of the Service minded ...  Position and power in the hands of one without arrogance ..  Weapons in the hands of compassionate .. suit the most .

No weapons , no Armies , no wars ... There is heavy propaganda ..  There are world agencies to curb and discourage smaller countries from acquiring weapons ..  Look at the one involved in this propaganda ..  The one who threw atom bombs on two towns of Japan , killing lakhs ..  The one who sent army to Vietnam , Iraq etc . only to sustain his hegemony , occupied these coutries for years , killed thousands and exploited resources ...  the one who instigated political murders in many countries ..  the one who Natural resources of less powerful Nations to advantage the economics of his own country ..  the one who produces various types of weapons and sells to terrorist countries and terrorist organizations world over ..  the one who send men and money in the guise of Church to convert and encourage armed separatist activities of the converts ..  The Amerikan says ..  no arms ..

Arms and weapons all over the body of the Amerikan who has no enemy within a range of 2,000 KMs .. Arms and weapons on the body of a Bharateeya who has enemies in all directions around him ..  Where do the wepons fit ??  Weapons in the hands of a Pkistani , who has been breathing , talking and organizing only terror since the day he was born (15th August 1947) ..  Weapons in the hands of Bharateeya who has not militarily attacked , subjugated and exploited any land in the last 10,000 years of known history .. Whom do the weapons suit ?

In our own country , under the influence of Buddha Religion and Gandhi , there are people who talk these words .  "Bharat should not invole in Arms purchase , missile research , weapon production" .  Gandhi himself said this .  "We should not have an army" .  This is a dangerous and absurd idea n present circumstance .  The prime duty of a state is to ensure secure and peaceful life of the population .  Any effort in this pursuit is welcome .  Any person , agency or movement which works against this must be crushed and decimated .

Among those armed , I am Ram , says Shri Krishna .  Shri Krishna does not express any hesitation or doubt about weapons .  He had already said , "Aayudhaanaam Aham Vajram" .  Among the weapons , I am the Vajra , the deadly wepon in the hands of Indra ..  Here He says that , "Among the Armed men I am Rama" ...

Chapter X (19 - 42)

Shri Bhagawan said:   I shall speak to Thee now, Oh best of the Kurus! of My Divine attributes, according to their prominence;   there is no end to the particulars of My manifestation. (X - 19) Arjuna asks for a detailed and complete elaboration on His manifestations.   Shri Krishna replies He will be brief in description.   Why?   ‘My manifestations are infinite’, says Shri Krishna.   Shri Krishna is in human form.   The Infinite Paramaatman has bound Himself in a finite Form.   A finite can not fully describe an Infinite.   The same Shri Krishna in the next chapter says, “See My Infinite Forms.   See as much as you wish”, when Arjuna expresses his desire to see His one Form.   Brief in words and Elaborate in Form.;. The discussion in the last shlokam continues here.   The listener’s ahankara tries to fathom the speaker.   The listener, Arj

Chapter IV (1 - 20)

\   ADHYAAY IV   GYANA KARMA SANYASA YOGAM Introduction This chapter named ‘Gnyana Karma Sanyasa Yog’ is a special one, as this is where Shri Krishna reveals the secrets of Avatara to Arjuna. We, as human have a natural weakness.  When a great thought is placed before us, instead of analysing the thought, understanding it and trying to put it into practise, almost all of us start worshipping the person who revealed the thought.  Worship of the Cross and the idols of Buddha can be quoted as examples.  One of the reasons for this may be that we deem him to be the originator of the thought.  Truths are eternal and can only be revealed and not invented.  You ask any educated person about ahimsa or non-violence.  You should not be surprised if he instantly come up with the answer, “Gandhi”.  You try to clarify that ‘almost two thousand years ago Shri Mahaveer based his life and religion solely on the principle of Ahimsa’ and ‘hundreds of years prior to that the Vedas, the Gi
