Kaalo(a)mi LokaKshayaKrut Pravruddho ... (Chapter 11 - Shloka 32)
Meaning : I am Death , and have come here for death and destruction of all ..
Kaala is a common word in Samskrit for Time as well as Death .. Shree Krishna said , "I am the Time , past , present and Future .." In the tenth chapter , Vibhooti Yog , he said "I am the Time that computes" .. In the same chapter , He said , "I am Yama , the Presiding Deity of Death" .. It is True .. but , He may have said this explicitly to remove any chance of misunderstanding in us that Yama may be different .. Otherwise , there is not any difference between Time and Death .. Both are same .. Time will naturally cause death or destruction .. Death is certain .. Time will destroy .. Flow of Time itself will cause death .. Yes .. Time needed may be short or long .. otherwise , there is no difference ..

Here , He is more explicit .. "I have come here only to cause the death of all these warriors" , He says .. "Their death is sure , even if you refuse to kill them" .. In fact , He says , "they have already been killed by Me" .. "All that you you can do is to be an instrument in My hands , an effecient instrument in a cause for which I have come .. to kill all these warriors" .. We'll discuss this in our next note ..
I came across an article written by an Amerikan Psycho - analyst and scientist .. "Death is least painful in Bharat" she writes .. and she is right .. Death is certain .. Death is unavoidable .. Death is a Natural phenomenon in course of Time .. Death is a Divine act .. It is an act by the God .. These ideas are firmly embedded in hearts of the Hindus .. That may be the reason for what she has observed in Bharat .. Death is least painful in Hindu society in Bharat ..
