Santushta ... (Chapter 12 - Shlokam 14)
Meaning : Totally contended ..
Tushta is contented .. San as a prefix means 'in the best way' or 'well' .. Santushta means 'totally contented' .. Santosh also means 'Happy' .. The two are one and the same .. Happiness takes birth in mind when contentment spring therein .. Happiness can be experienced only when total contentment fills up in the mind , contentment without any trace of discontentment .. A discontented mind is unhappy .. Even a trace of discontentment saddens the mind ..
Usually , man sees defects .. Short comings in any experience get registered in his mind easily .. He attends one hour programme of melodious music or enchanting Bhjans , but returns home moaning over some silly shortcomings .. "I did not get Prasad " ; or "The ventilation was so poor in the hall " or some such petty complaint .. Completely contented mind is a rarity .. One with a contented mind is blessed .. Contented and happy with whatever he gets , in quantity less or more , even if he does not get .. Such a blessed one dearest devotee of God , according to Shri Krishna ..
