PHRASES IN THE GITA - 202 


तमेव प्रपद्ये  ..  (अध्याय १५ - श्लोक ४)
தமேவ ப்ரபத்யே ;..  (அத்யாயம் 15 - ஶ்லோகம் 4) 
Tameva Prapadye ..  (Chapter 15 - Shlokam 4)

MEANING :  I surrender unto You ..

Sharanam Aham Prapadye ..  I surrender unto You ..  I take refuge in You ..  This is unique aspect of Hindu Dharma ..  It is not same as slavery or bondage ..  There are glaring differences , though both may appear same on the exterior ..  Slavery is enforced ..  Surrender is voluntary ..  The weak is enslaved ..  Very strong willed one surrenders ..  Allurement for money and other doles and fear of the whip are enslaving factors ..  The money thrown by the master at the slave and the whip he raise are the bonds which strengthen slavery ..  There are no such bonds for the surrendered ..  He is totally independent and liberated , though he has surrendered ..  His needs are taken care of by the Master , but he is not concerned or worried on this front ..  Slavery is akin to a trade agreement , though not mutual ..  Surrender is an expression of Love ..  of Devotion ..  There is no emotional relationship between the slave and the master ..  If at all a relationship develops , it is one of anger , frustration and contempt ..  There is a firm relationship between the surrendered and the Master , relationship based on Love , Devotion and Faith ..  The slave wants to and tries to get out of the bondage of slavery whenever he realizes his enslaved state ..  The surrendered wishes to sustain his state of surrender ..  The slave's mind is filled with grief ..  Slavery is a grievous state ..  The mind of surrendered is filled with Joy and ecstasy ..  His state of Surrender is a Joyous state ..

Surrender is always to a Noble , benevolent body ..  The God , a great ideal or an organization working towards a glorious Ideal ..  Rarely , surrender may be to a great Person , Pure in heart , absolutely unselfish , ..  Slavery is always to a human or an organization run by humans who are ruthless , manipulative , exploitative , powerful and utterly selfish ..

(இசைக்கும் மொழி கிடையாது . கவிதைக்குதான் மொழி . தமிழிசை மன்றம் என்பதெல்லாம் அபத்தம் .) தமிழகத்திற்கு வடக்கில் பாரத தேஶத்தின் அத்தனை ப்ராந்தங்களும் (கேரளம் தவிர்த்து) உள்ளன . தெலுங்கு , மராடீ , போஜ்புரி , குஜராதீ ... அனைத்து மொழிகளும் வட திஶையில் பேசப்படும் மொழிகள் .  இவை எல்லாம் வடமொழிகள் . (கன்யாகுமரி ஆளுக்கு சென்னை பாஷை கூட வடமொழிதான்) . இந்த எல்லா மொழிகளிலும் இந்த ஶப்தங்களுக்கு எழுத்துக்கள் உண்டு .   தெலுங்கில் జ  , స  , హ .. . என்றும் ,   கன்னடத்தில்   ಜ , ಸ , ಹ , ಕ್ಷ .. என்றும் , மராடீயில் . ज , स , ह , श , क्ष,.. என்றும் குஜராதியில்     જ , સ , હા , ક્ષ  , என்றும் ,   ப...

(अध्याय ४ - श्लोक १३) சாதுர்வர்ண்யம் மயா ஸ்ருஷ்டம் குண கர்ம விபாகஶஹ்  ...  (அத்யாயம் 4 - ஶ்லோகம் 13) Chatur VarNyam Mayaa Srushtam GuNa Karma Vibhaagashah ... (Chapter 4 - Shlokam 13) அர்தம் :   சாதுர் வர்ண்யம் மயா ஸ்ருஷ்டம்... குண கர்ம விபாகஶ :   குணம் மற்றும் கர்மங்களின் அடிப்படையில் நான்கு வர்ணங்கள் என்னலே படைக்கப் பட்டது. சாதுர் வர்ண்யம் மயா ஸ்ருஷ்டம்... குண கர்ம விபாகஶ :  சதுர் வர்ணங்களை, நான்கு வர்ணங்களை நான்தான் ஸ்ருஷ்டித்தேன், என்கிறார் ஸ்ரீ க்ருஷ்ணன்.  இதில் என்ன ஆஶ்சர்யம் ??  ப்ரக்ருதியில் உள்ள அனைத்துமே அவர் படைத்தவை என்னும்போது, சதுர் வர்ணங்களையும் அவர்தானே படைத்திருக்க வேண்டும் ??  கீதையின் இந்த வாக்யம் நாஸ்திகவாதிகள், கம்யூனிஸ்ட்கள், கடவுள் மறுப்பு இயக்கத்தினர் என்று கடவுளை ஏற்காதவர்களையும் நெளிய வைக்கிறது.  கடவுளே படைத்திருக்கிறார் என்றால் அதை அழித்தொழிக்க முடியாது என்று கருதுகிறார்களா ??  இவர்கள் அனைவரும் ஜாதி அம...

Chapter X (19 - 42)

\ श्री भगवानुवाच - हन्त ते कथष्यामि दिव्या ह्यात्मविभूतय : । प्राधान्यत : कुरुश्रेष्ठ नास्त्यन्तो विस्तरस्य मे ॥ १९ ॥ Shri Bhagawan said:   I shall speak to Thee now, Oh best of the Kurus! of My Divine attributes, according to their prominence;   there is no end to the particulars of My manifestation. (X - 19) Arjuna asks for a detailed and complete elaboration on His manifestations.   Shri Krishna replies He will be brief in description.   Why?   ‘My manifestations are infinite’, says Shri Krishna.   Shri Krishna is in human form.   The Infinite Paramaatman has bound Himself in a finite Form.   A finite can not fully describe an Infinite.   The same Shri Krishna in the next chapter says, “See My Infinite Forms.   See as much as you wish”, when Arjuna expresses his desire to see His one Form.   Brief in words and Elaborate in Form.;.
