क्षयाय जगतः अहिताः  (अध्याय १६ - श्लोक ९)

க்ஷயாய ஜகதஹ அஹிதாஹ  (அத்யாயம் 16 - ஶ்லோகம் 9)

Kshayaaya Jagato(a)Hitaah  (Chapter 16 - Shlokam 9)

Meaning :  The asura causes destruction and is an enemy of the world ..

There are families which feel it undesirable to kill mosquitoes , flies and cockroaches ..  More than that , even snakes , centipedes etc entering the house , are spared , guided to bush and left alone by many Brahmin families ..  "We have encroached into their territory" , would be the reaction ..  This is a personal experience ..  Snakes of various lengths have entered my residence on three occassions and were not killed ..  The asura performs extreme actions and causes damage and destruction of the society at large ..  He is thus an enemy of the world , says Shri Krishna ..

The Chinese Communist govt. crushed and killed , a few thousands of its own students at Tiennanmen square , using military tanks ..  Slitting the throat and sadistically killing an adversary , while shouting the slogan 'Alla - Hu - Akbar' is a regular scene ,,  Deportation of thousands of 'enemies of communism' to Siberian deserts by the previous Communist regime in the USSR ..  Muslim terrorist mob put on fire the rail coach , locking it from outside and brutally killed sixty Hindus at Godhra railway station ..  The conviction and arrest of actress - leader on corruption charges , enraged the sycophants in the party so much that they burnt alive young girl students on an education tour ..  Congress leaders enraged at the death of their leader Shrimathi Indira Feroze Khan , roamed on the streets and killed thousands of Sikhs and "young leader" Shri Rajeev justified the same saying , "when a tree falls , death of a few plants and other smaller lives underneath is inevitable" ..  These are examples of a few ferocious acts by Asura , demoniac attitude in recent past ..

The Asura causes immense damage to the society at large , says Shri Krishna ..  The "No God" Kazhagam mobs in Tamil Nadu captured political power and have been in power since the last fifty years ..  Purity in social conduct has been destroyed ..  Personal character is lost ..  Huge corruption prevails in every field ..  Liquor sale has become a measure of Government's performance ..  Illegal mining of river sand , granite , etc . is side business of Chief ministers and other ministers ..  Natural wealth has been squandered ..  Rivers are dried up ..  Tanks and lakes are encroached ..  Temple Idols are being stoles and smuggled to foreign states ..  Vast acreage of temple lands has been encroached ..  Water has been turned into a scarce commodity ..  Every field has been affected ..  "Damage and destruction" is the scene in every field ..
