दम्भ मान मदान्विताः  ..  (अध्याय १६ - श्लोक १०)
தம்ப மான மதான்விதாஹ ..  (அத்யாயம் 16 - ஶ்லோகம் 10)
Dambha Maana Madaanvitaah ..  (Chapter 16 - Shlokam 10)

Meaning :  Asura is filled with Dambha (Hypocrisy) , Maana (self pride) and Mada (Arrogance) ..

Dambha (boastfulness / show-off / hypocrisy) is the biggest epidemic in today's world ..  Dambha is flaunting on something , show off that which is not , exaggerate that which is ..  What is the intention behind this show - off ??  To get petty rewards , to incite jealousy in others and score winning points , to earn false appreciation , to earn momentous respect ..  How is Dambha revealed ??  In conducting personal and family functions ..  take loans and spend extravagantly on such occassions ..  wear costly clothes , shoes , sun glasses , perfumes .. merely to show off ..  Most of these who spend heavily to show off , ignore more important items like inner wears , which must be clean , healthy and good ..  Dambha is to live an extravagant life , despite suffocating debts ..  Dambha is posing as intelligent with rehearsed and decorative speech but absolute ignorance within ..  Dambha is trying to motivate and inspire others , despite complete lack of self confidence ..  Dambha is wearing Religious symbols inspite of hollowness within ..

Maana is self boasting ..  Maana is to regard that possessed by self as unique , special to self ..  It is a common sight to see elders talking blah blah blah on their grand child as though he / she was a super intelligent and super skilled child ..  Excessive Maana is Mada or arrogance ..  Mada incites a sort of intoxication and under its influence , the Madaanvita or the one filled with Mada , insults or puts down or hurts others ..  This is worst impact of Mada ..  This eliminates friends and well wishers and alienates this arrogant Asura ..  Only sycophants , unworthy men and absolutely selfish men gather around him ..  These too are like the rats in a sinking ship , ready to discard the ship ..  The Asura is unable to work with superior men , with equals too ..  The asura can work comfortably only with dwarfs ..  This is the greatest pitfall for asura .. waiting for the imminent fall of the asura ..

(இசைக்கும் மொழி கிடையாது . கவிதைக்குதான் மொழி . தமிழிசை மன்றம் என்பதெல்லாம் அபத்தம் .) தமிழகத்திற்கு வடக்கில் பாரத தேஶத்தின் அத்தனை ப்ராந்தங்களும் (கேரளம் தவிர்த்து) உள்ளன . தெலுங்கு , மராடீ , போஜ்புரி , குஜராதீ ... அனைத்து மொழிகளும் வட திஶையில் பேசப்படும் மொழிகள் .  இவை எல்லாம் வடமொழிகள் . (கன்யாகுமரி ஆளுக்கு சென்னை பாஷை கூட வடமொழிதான்) . இந்த எல்லா மொழிகளிலும் இந்த ஶப்தங்களுக்கு எழுத்துக்கள் உண்டு .   தெலுங்கில் జ  , స  , హ .. . என்றும் ,   கன்னடத்தில்   ಜ , ಸ , ಹ , ಕ್ಷ .. என்றும் , மராடீயில் . ज , स , ह , श , क्ष,.. என்றும் குஜராதியில்     જ , સ , હા , ક્ષ  , என்றும் ,   ப...

August 28th... Flying visit to Chennai..

ॐ Out of the net for three days. Fying visits to Chennai on 28th and to Erode on the 30th. 29th was Shravana Poornimaa, day for License renewal . Went to Chennai for inauguration of ABVP Karyalayam. There was a day long meet of old workers of Vidyarthi Parishad. Recall of memories is always a refreshing experience. Probably, that is the reason why many want to live with 'glorious' old memories. Those days when our only asset was Enthusiasm at its best. Karyalaya, funds, facilities like vehicle, phone, etc. support, numerical strength, and other resources were on the lower side. Peanuts, Tea, Walk, long and short ones. Nevertheless, it was a great experience with high level of affectionate team working and sharing, hectic activism, great dreams. Nagpur Sangam Chawl Karyalayam was a tiled hut, but was always full of students. Similar in Chennai Ezhumbur Karyalaya. Now, there is no paucity of resources.
