सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा फलं चैव स त्यागः सात्त्विकः .. (अध्याय १८ - श्लोक ९)
ஸங்கம் த்யக்த்வா ஃபலம் சைவ ஸ த்யாகஹ் ஸாத்விகஹ .. (அத்யாயம் 18 - ஶ்லோகம் 9)
Sangam Tyaktvaa Phalam Chaiva Sa Tyaagah Saattvikah ... (Chapter 18 - Shloka 9)
Meaning : That is Sattvika renunciation when action is regarded as duty and attachment with the action and expectation of fruits from the action are renounced ..
The person in whom Sattva Guna dominates or the person in mode of Knowledge does not give up actions .. He very well realizes it is impossible to stay alive in this mortal world relinquishing all actions .. Hence , he involves in actions , without developing any attachment with those .. He just goes on with the actions , regarding these as 'duty' .. Similarly , a Saattvika Purusha keeps away attachment with the fruits of these actions .. When actions are taken in response to duty and one relinquishes attachment to any reward , it is considered renunciation in the nature of goodness , or Saattvika Tyaaga . according to Shri Krishna ..
