यत्तु कामेप्सुना साहङ्कारेण क्रियते बहुलायासं तत् कर्म राजसम् ...  (अध्याय १८ - श्लोक २४)
யத்து காமேப்ஸுனா ஸாஹங்காரேண க்ரியதே பஹுலாயாஸம் தத் கர்ம ராஜஸம் ..  (அத்யாயம் 18 - ஶ்லோகம் 24)
Yattu Kaamepsunaa Saahankaarena Kriyate Bahulaayaasam Tat Karma Rajasam ..  (Chapter 18 - Shlokam 24)

Meaning :  Action that is prompted by selfish desire , enacted with pride and stressful is Raajasik or action in mode of passion ..

The actions by a Rajo Gunee is result of passionate attachment ..  These are performed with bloated ego ..  These are also performed with tremendous strain and stress ..

The most prominent attribute exhibited by a person of Rajo Guna (or a person in mode of passion) is attachment ..  passionate attachment ..  Attachment reveals itself in actions performed by a Rajo Gunee ..  attachment with the work and attachment with its fruits ..

Another trait of a person with Rajo Guna is his bloated ego ..  'I am the doer' .. this is the predominant thought hovering in his mind while performing his actions ..  "If I do not do .." , "If not me , who else will ??" etc . are the ways his ego gets projected ..

Attachment with action results in anxiety over good performance of the action ..  Attachment with expectation of fruits result in anxiety over attaining the fruits and hence fall in efficiency of work ..  The looming egoistic thought "I am the doer" makes the work a burden and stressful ..  Action which is to performed with enthusiasm and joy , instead becomes burdensome , exhausting , stressful and boring ..

(இசைக்கும் மொழி கிடையாது . கவிதைக்குதான் மொழி . தமிழிசை மன்றம் என்பதெல்லாம் அபத்தம் .) தமிழகத்திற்கு வடக்கில் பாரத தேஶத்தின் அத்தனை ப்ராந்தங்களும் (கேரளம் தவிர்த்து) உள்ளன . தெலுங்கு , மராடீ , போஜ்புரி , குஜராதீ ... அனைத்து மொழிகளும் வட திஶையில் பேசப்படும் மொழிகள் .  இவை எல்லாம் வடமொழிகள் . (கன்யாகுமரி ஆளுக்கு சென்னை பாஷை கூட வடமொழிதான்) . இந்த எல்லா மொழிகளிலும் இந்த ஶப்தங்களுக்கு எழுத்துக்கள் உண்டு .   தெலுங்கில் జ  , స  , హ .. . என்றும் ,   கன்னடத்தில்   ಜ , ಸ , ಹ , ಕ್ಷ .. என்றும் , மராடீயில் . ज , स , ह , श , क्ष,.. என்றும் குஜராதியில்     જ , સ , હા , ક્ષ  , என்றும் ,   ப...

August 28th... Flying visit to Chennai..

ॐ Out of the net for three days. Fying visits to Chennai on 28th and to Erode on the 30th. 29th was Shravana Poornimaa, day for License renewal . Went to Chennai for inauguration of ABVP Karyalayam. There was a day long meet of old workers of Vidyarthi Parishad. Recall of memories is always a refreshing experience. Probably, that is the reason why many want to live with 'glorious' old memories. Those days when our only asset was Enthusiasm at its best. Karyalaya, funds, facilities like vehicle, phone, etc. support, numerical strength, and other resources were on the lower side. Peanuts, Tea, Walk, long and short ones. Nevertheless, it was a great experience with high level of affectionate team working and sharing, hectic activism, great dreams. Nagpur Sangam Chawl Karyalayam was a tiled hut, but was always full of students. Similar in Chennai Ezhumbur Karyalaya. Now, there is no paucity of resources.
