प्रवृत्तिंच निवृत्तिं च कार्याकार्ये भयाभये बन्धं मोक्षं च वेत्ति सा सात्त्विकी बुद्धि ...  (अध्याय १८ - श्लोक ३०)
ப்ரவ்ருத்திம் ச நிவ்ருத்திம் கார்யாகார்யே பயாபயே பந்தம் மோக்ஷம் ச யா வேத்தி ஸா புத்தி ஸாத்விகீ ...  (அத்யாயம் 18 - ஶ்லோகம் 30)
Pravuttim cha Nivruttim KaaryaaKaarye Bhayaabhaye Bandham Moksham cha Yaa Vetti saa Buddhi Saattvikee ... (Chapter 18 - Shlokam 30)

Meaning :  The Intellect which knows what is proper action and what is improper action , what is duty and what is non - duty , what is to be feared and what is not to be feared , what is binding and what is liberating , is Sattvik ..

Saattvika is to know what is right and wrong action ..  One must be able to assess the situation and decide on right actions suiting the place , time and situation and pursue the right ones and avoid the wrong ones ..Is this something to learnt ?  No .  This is dependent on Swabhava or 'inherent nature' ..  This comes naturally to Sattva dominant person ..  The person with dominant Sattva Guna does not have attachment and selfish desires and expectations ..  That makes him an 'anxiety - free' and 'excitement - free' person ..  The Buddhi which reigns the disturbances and turbulence in mind should obviously think in the right way ..  That is Saattvika Buddhi ..

(இசைக்கும் மொழி கிடையாது . கவிதைக்குதான் மொழி . தமிழிசை மன்றம் என்பதெல்லாம் அபத்தம் .) தமிழகத்திற்கு வடக்கில் பாரத தேஶத்தின் அத்தனை ப்ராந்தங்களும் (கேரளம் தவிர்த்து) உள்ளன . தெலுங்கு , மராடீ , போஜ்புரி , குஜராதீ ... அனைத்து மொழிகளும் வட திஶையில் பேசப்படும் மொழிகள் .  இவை எல்லாம் வடமொழிகள் . (கன்யாகுமரி ஆளுக்கு சென்னை பாஷை கூட வடமொழிதான்) . இந்த எல்லா மொழிகளிலும் இந்த ஶப்தங்களுக்கு எழுத்துக்கள் உண்டு .   தெலுங்கில் జ  , స  , హ .. . என்றும் ,   கன்னடத்தில்   ಜ , ಸ , ಹ , ಕ್ಷ .. என்றும் , மராடீயில் . ज , स , ह , श , क्ष,.. என்றும் குஜராதியில்     જ , સ , હા , ક્ષ  , என்றும் ,   ப...

August 28th... Flying visit to Chennai..

ॐ Out of the net for three days. Fying visits to Chennai on 28th and to Erode on the 30th. 29th was Shravana Poornimaa, day for License renewal . Went to Chennai for inauguration of ABVP Karyalayam. There was a day long meet of old workers of Vidyarthi Parishad. Recall of memories is always a refreshing experience. Probably, that is the reason why many want to live with 'glorious' old memories. Those days when our only asset was Enthusiasm at its best. Karyalaya, funds, facilities like vehicle, phone, etc. support, numerical strength, and other resources were on the lower side. Peanuts, Tea, Walk, long and short ones. Nevertheless, it was a great experience with high level of affectionate team working and sharing, hectic activism, great dreams. Nagpur Sangam Chawl Karyalayam was a tiled hut, but was always full of students. Similar in Chennai Ezhumbur Karyalaya. Now, there is no paucity of resources.
