ॐ PHRASES IN THE GITA - 36 द्वन्द्वातीत: .... (अध्याय ४ - श्लोक २२) த்வந்த்வாதீத:  .... (அத்யாயம் 4 - ஶ்லோகம் 22) Dwandwaatheethah   ... (Chapter 4 - Shloka 22) Meaning :  Dwandwaateeta is one who is beyond the Duels ...  Ateeta is Beyond.. Dwa is two..  Mallayuddha or wrestling is called Dwandwa.  Fight between two.. So,dwandwaateeta is getting beyond duels, contradictions... We find so many contradictions around us. If there is bright day, there is also dark night.  If there is hot, hot summer, there is also chilling winter.  If there is sweet and tasty honey and Coconut,  there is also bitter gourd.  If there is beautiful rose and Lotus, there is also ugly cactus..  If there is melodious cuckoo of Koyal, there is also the unbearable, harsh, karnakathor (कर्ण कठोर ) braying of donkey.  If there is soft, tender silk, there is also harsh, abrasive thorn and wool.  These are contradictions in the e...

(Chapter 4 - Shloka 20) अर्थ :  कर्मों में निरंतर डूबे रहते हुए भी  ...  यह एक सुन्दर शब्दावली है ।  इसमे  वर्णित स्थिति भी एक सुन्दर अवस्था है ।  यह शब्दावली अपने आप में पूर्ण तो नहीं ।  परंतु इस को पूर्ण कराने वाली शब्दावली इसी से सुझती है ।  "कर्मों में निरंतर डूबे रहते हुए भी   ...  वह कर्मों से निर्लिप्त रहता है" ।  "कर्मों में निरंतर मग्न है परंतु वह कोई कर्मा नहीं करता"। मग्नता परिपूर्ण है ।  कर्मों में डूबना शत प्रति शत है ।  शरीर, मनस, बुद्धी आदि सभी करण, व्यक्तित्व के एक एक अंश लगे हुए हैं कर्मों में ।  शरीर मे अन्य कोई कर्मा के लिए ऊर्जा बची नहीं है ।  मनस में अन्य किसी भी कार्य के प्रति आकर्षण बचा नहीं ।  बुद्धी में अन्य किसी कार्य के चिंतन के लिए स्थान बचा नहीं ।  शरीर ...

(Chapter 4 - Shloka 20) அர்தம் :  தன்னை மறந்து, செயலில் மூழ்கி  ஈடுபட்டும் ...  இது ஒரு அழகான சொற்றொடர் .  அந்தச் சொற்றொடர் விவரித்திடும்  அந்நிலையும்  அழகான ஒரு நிலை.  இது ஒரு பூர்ணமாகாத  சொற்றொடர் என்று  தோன்றுகிறது.   தன்னை மறந்து,  செயலில் மூழ்கி  ஈடுபட்டும் ...   ஆம்.  உண்மைதான்.  இது  பூர்ணமானது இல்லை.  ஆனால்,  இதை பூர்ணமாகிடும் பகுதியையும்  இச்சொற்றொடரே யூஹிக்க  வைக்கிறது.  "அவர் இந்தச் செயலிலும்  ஈடுபடவில்லை".  "அவர் செயலில் இருந்து  விலகியே நிற்கிறார்"... ஈடுபாடு பூர்ணமானது.  மூழ்குதல் முழுமையானது.  ஶரீரம்,  மனஸ் மற்றும் புத்தி என்றனைத்தும்,  ஆளுமையின் அணு அணுவும்  ஈடுபட்டிடும்.  முழுமையாக ஈடுபட்டிடும். ...

(Chapter 4 - Shloka 20) Meaning :  Though one is deeply engrossed in hectic activity ,.... This is a beautiful phrase and the experience suggested by the phrase is also a beautiful experience.  It seems to be an incomplete phrase. "Though one is deeply engrossed in activity, multifarious activities ..."  Yes.  It is incomplete.  But, this phrase itself  suggests the other half too, the that will complete it .  "He / she is not involved in activity."  "He / she stays detached from the very same activities." Engrossment is total.  Involvement is complete.  Shareera, Manas and Buddhi, every bit of one's personality is involved in the activity. and involved wholly.  There is no energy left in Shareera;  there is no spa...
