PHRASES IN THE GITA - 268

रागी कर्मफलप्रेप्सुः लुब्धः हिंसात्मकः अशुचिः हर्ष शोकान्वितः कर्ता राजस ..  (अध्याय १८ - श्लोक २७)
ராகி கர்மஃபலப்ரேப்ஸுஹு லுப்தஹ ஹிம்ஸாத்மகஹ அஶுசிஹி ஹர்ஷ ஶோகான்விதஹ கர்தா ராஜஸ ...  (அத்யாயம் 18 - ஶ்லோகம் 27)
Raagi Karmaphalaprepsuh Lubdhah Himsaatmakah Ashuchih Harsha Shokaanvitah Kartaa Raajasa . (Chapter 18 Shlokam 27)

Meaning :  Passion , attachment with fruit of action , greed , violence , impurity and disturbance by happy and sad moments are traits of a Rajasik Kartaa ..

If the person with Sattvika attribute works quietly , the person with Rajasik attribute works passionately ..  with intense attachment .. intense desire that the work be done by self ..  intense about the work being done in the best way ..  intense in gaining name and reputation through the work ..  intense about getting the fruits of the work ..  This is the complete picture of a Rajasik person ..

Greed and violence are natural off-springs of such an attitude ..  Desire that "I alone should get" is greed ..  Desire that "the work be done by me alone" is greed ..  Desire that everything happened as is sought by self is greed ..  Desire to get more and more of fruits is desire ..

Violence results while trying to eliminate hurdles while working ..  Violence also results while trying to eliminate any competition and competitor ..

Intensity is in both the directions ..  Intense attachment comes with intense hatred ..  Intense enthusiasm comes hand in hand with intense depression ..  Excitement on getting success is intense ..  So too is grief on getting failure ..  These traits are usually seen in the person with Rajasik mode ..

(இசைக்கும் மொழி கிடையாது . கவிதைக்குதான் மொழி . தமிழிசை மன்றம் என்பதெல்லாம் அபத்தம் .) தமிழகத்திற்கு வடக்கில் பாரத தேஶத்தின் அத்தனை ப்ராந்தங்களும் (கேரளம் தவிர்த்து) உள்ளன . தெலுங்கு , மராடீ , போஜ்புரி , குஜராதீ ... அனைத்து மொழிகளும் வட திஶையில் பேசப்படும் மொழிகள் .  இவை எல்லாம் வடமொழிகள் . (கன்யாகுமரி ஆளுக்கு சென்னை பாஷை கூட வடமொழிதான்) . இந்த எல்லா மொழிகளிலும் இந்த ஶப்தங்களுக்கு எழுத்துக்கள் உண்டு .   தெலுங்கில் జ  , స  , హ .. . என்றும் ,   கன்னடத்தில்   ಜ , ಸ , ಹ , ಕ್ಷ .. என்றும் , மராடீயில் . ज , स , ह , श , क्ष,.. என்றும் குஜராதியில்     જ , સ , હા , ક્ષ  , என்றும் ,   ப...

(अध्याय ४ - श्लोक १३) சாதுர்வர்ண்யம் மயா ஸ்ருஷ்டம் குண கர்ம விபாகஶஹ்  ...  (அத்யாயம் 4 - ஶ்லோகம் 13) Chatur VarNyam Mayaa Srushtam GuNa Karma Vibhaagashah ... (Chapter 4 - Shlokam 13) அர்தம் :   சாதுர் வர்ண்யம் மயா ஸ்ருஷ்டம்... குண கர்ம விபாகஶ :   குணம் மற்றும் கர்மங்களின் அடிப்படையில் நான்கு வர்ணங்கள் என்னலே படைக்கப் பட்டது. சாதுர் வர்ண்யம் மயா ஸ்ருஷ்டம்... குண கர்ம விபாகஶ :  சதுர் வர்ணங்களை, நான்கு வர்ணங்களை நான்தான் ஸ்ருஷ்டித்தேன், என்கிறார் ஸ்ரீ க்ருஷ்ணன்.  இதில் என்ன ஆஶ்சர்யம் ??  ப்ரக்ருதியில் உள்ள அனைத்துமே அவர் படைத்தவை என்னும்போது, சதுர் வர்ணங்களையும் அவர்தானே படைத்திருக்க வேண்டும் ??  கீதையின் இந்த வாக்யம் நாஸ்திகவாதிகள், கம்யூனிஸ்ட்கள், கடவுள் மறுப்பு இயக்கத்தினர் என்று கடவுளை ஏற்காதவர்களையும் நெளிய வைக்கிறது.  கடவுளே படைத்திருக்கிறார் என்றால் அதை அழித்தொழிக்க முடியாது என்று கருதுகிறார்களா ??  இவர்கள் அனைவரும் ஜாதி அம...

Chapter X (19 - 42)

\ श्री भगवानुवाच - हन्त ते कथष्यामि दिव्या ह्यात्मविभूतय : । प्राधान्यत : कुरुश्रेष्ठ नास्त्यन्तो विस्तरस्य मे ॥ १९ ॥ Shri Bhagawan said:   I shall speak to Thee now, Oh best of the Kurus! of My Divine attributes, according to their prominence;   there is no end to the particulars of My manifestation. (X - 19) Arjuna asks for a detailed and complete elaboration on His manifestations.   Shri Krishna replies He will be brief in description.   Why?   ‘My manifestations are infinite’, says Shri Krishna.   Shri Krishna is in human form.   The Infinite Paramaatman has bound Himself in a finite Form.   A finite can not fully describe an Infinite.   The same Shri Krishna in the next chapter says, “See My Infinite Forms.   See as much as you wish”, when Arjuna expresses his desire to see His one Form.   Brief in words and Elaborate in Form.;.
